SOLAR ENERGY Means Radiant Light and Heat from the SUN . The Solar Energy Technologies include Solar heating, Solar Photovoltaics, Solar Thermal Electricity, and Solar Architecture which can make considerable contributions to solving some of the most urgent problems the World now faces.

The EARTH Receives 174 PetaWatts ( PW ) of incoming radiation at the upper Atmosphere .( Peta = (10) 15 ) . Approximately 30% is reflected back to space while the rest is absorbed by Clouds, Oceans and Land masses . The total Solar Energy absorbed by Earth's Atmosphere, Oceans and Land masses is approximately 3.850.000 ExaJoules ( EJ ) per Year . ( Exa = (10) 18 ) . Photosynthesis captures approximately 3000 EJ per Year in Biomass .

Solar Energy can be harnessed at different levels around the World, mostly depending on distance from the Equator .
