Thales of Miletus

Born in Miletus , in Greek Ionia, MInor Asia ( Now Turkey ) around 624 BC . By General Agreement HE was The First of The Seven Wise Men, and pupil of The Egyptians and Chaldeans . The First known Greek Natural Philosopher, Philosopher, Scientist, Astronomer, Mathematician and Theologist .

Eclipse Of The SUN May 28th 585 BC

Thales Of Miletus predicted the Solar Eclipse of May 28th in 585 BC . He is also Unanimously Ascribed The Introduction Of Mathemathical and Astronomical Sciences in Greece . Some consider him to be the Teacher and Advisor of Pythagoras . It was Thales of Miletus who advised Pythagoras to Travel to Egypt and Chaldea .
